I painted three turtles hanging at the cleaning station. They just float in the water (not on top)and let the fish eat the algae of their shells.
You would not think but turtle's shells are very sensitive. When i was living in Maui i would work together with the ranger to get entangled turtles to Oahu. I would cut the line but sometimes it was in their stomach and then they would fly them to Oahu to have surgery. After the surgery they would release them.

I would find the turtles in the same places. After a while i made some turtle friends. They had their own rock that was their little house to lay under and nap. I would swim from friend to friend.

I would follow the turtle highway to find turtles in need.
I did a lot of them, one shark and 6 dolphins. (dolphins on big island)

I painted this because i love the peacefulness and serenity of a cleaning station.
They just hang and allow the fish to eat algae of their shells.

I looove that atmosphere of allowing. Its something humans have a hard time with. they often want to control and force.
